MuCell®

Trexel's MuCell® process, a microcellular foam injection molding technology, provides Tricon with the ability to help customers enhance dimensional stability and improve product integrity.

MuCell®'s enhanced material flow characteristics – at lower viscosity and temperatures – allow our designers to produce intricate parts with thinner walls. The process can reduce stress, warpage and sink marks, which improves dimensional stability and part reliability. The MuCell® process is compatible with most engineering resins and product/tooling designs. MuCell® also offers opportunity to encapsulate delicate components which would be damaged using a conventional molding process.

In addition to automotive applications, MuCell® technology is currently used to produce medical equipment, consumer goods, electronics and food service equipment, along with industrial and consumer structural parts.

Tricon has invested in the equipment required to assist you in prototyping your designs. Please call to discuss your application.
